The BonBon Holiday Bash is more than a party
—it’s a chance to unite our community for a common cause.
Under the banner of “Believing One Night, Benefiting Our Neighbors,” the event captures the joy and generosity of the holiday season while raising essential funds and resources for families in need.

Guests will step into a fully decorated holiday-themed venue, complete with festive décor and ice sculptures. Between the buffet, DJ sets, live performances, and raffle prizes, the evening promises non-stop excitement. Most importantly, every toy donated and every dollar raised will help ensure local children experience the joy of unwrapping a holiday gift.
We expect this year’s bash to welcome an even larger crowd than last year—business leaders, nonprofits, community members, and state representatives will gather once again to support Columbia Community Care. With world-class performers and the spirit of giving driving the night, this is the holiday event of the season.
About The Event
The 2025 JJCC BonBon Holiday Bash
The Second Annual BonBon Holiday Bash & Toy Drive takes place on December 4th and promises to be the holiday party of the year. Guests are invited to dress in their best 1980’s style — from hip-hop classics with Kangols, fat laces, and gold chains to neon spandex, sequins, and big hair — while enjoying live performances by Pete Rock and Treach of Naughty By Nature. The night features a huge raffle with wild prizes like arcade machines, retro boom boxes, luxury bottles, and cash giveaways, along with a full buffet for general admission and an open bar with premium food in the VIP lounge. Most importantly, every ticket and toy donation helps support Columbia Community Care, ensuring local families and children have a brighter holiday season.

REFLECTING ON LAST YEAR
Last year’s inaugural event was unforgettable. The energy was electric as thousands of dollars were raised to support Columbia Community Care, and a mountain of high-quality toys and gifts were donated for families in need. Special Ed opened the night with old-school lyrics, while the “World’s Greatest Entertainer,” Doug E. Fresh, brought the house down as the headliner. DJ J Stud kept the crowd on their feet until the very end, and even Governor Wes Moore joined as guest MC, adding to the spirit of the night. The success of our first event set the stage for something even bigger this year.
WHAT’S NEW IN 2025
This year, the BonBon Holiday Bash is leveling up with more entertainment, more prizes, and more opportunities to give back.
- Pete Rock – Legendary record producer, DJ, and rapper, known as one of hip-hop’s greatest. Rising to prominence with CL Smooth in the early 1990s, Pete Rock’s beats and stage presence remain iconic.
- TREACH (of Naughty By Nature) – The lead rapper of the Grammy-winning hip-hop group Naughty By Nature. Treach’s unmistakable voice and explosive energy will light up the stage with classics that defined a generation.
- Huge Raffle: Every general admission ticket includes one free raffle entry. VIPs and sponsors receive additional entries. Prizes include retro arcade machines, old-school style boom boxes upgraded with new tech, cash giveaways, high-end bottles of wine and liquor, and more.
- VIP Experience: VIP tickets now feature high-end food and an open bar in a private lounge.
- General Admission Upgrades: All GA guests enjoy a complimentary buffet and access to the previously restricted upper-level VIP area, offering more seating and a better view of the show.
The JJCC
The Jonathan Johnson Community Coalition (the “JJCC”) is proud to bring back the BonBon Holiday Bash & Toy Drive for its second year, benefitting Columbia Community Care. Our coalition is rooted in the principles and spirit of Jonathan Johnson, focusing on building strong community ties, compassion for others, and a commitment to making a difference. From youth sports to family support programs, JJCC continues to show what is possible when neighbors come together for good.
THE BENEFICIARY: ABOUT CCC
Founded in 2020 by Executive Director Erika Strauss Chavarria, Columbia Community Care (“CCC”) is a Howard County-based 501(c)(3) that has become a leading voice for compassion and equity. What began as a call-to-action during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a holistic support system for families across the region. CCC provides food assistance, educational and job-skills training, youth mentoring, and more. Recognized with multiple awards, including Best of Howard County Volunteer Organization (2020–2022) and the 2022 Howard County Rise to the Challenge Award, CCC continues to strengthen our community year after year.
